A weather bar is an accessory for any external door and is commonly fitted to the bottom of the door leaf. The purpose of a weather bar is to provide protection against the elements, particularly rain, by deflecting water away from the bottom of the door and preventing water entering your property from underneath the door.

What treatment should I use on my external door?

We would recommend Sikkens Cetol Filter 7, although other products can be used as long as they have similar properties, being solvent based and microporous. We don’t recommend the use of any water based products, as either base or top coats. If a water based product is used, your door will not be covered by our 10 year guarantee.
